Building resilience and capability: Shaping the future of Morgan Sindall Construction

Looking to the future

What’s next for Morgan Sindall?

Looking ahead to the next chapter of learning and development at Morgan Sindall, it is important to first pause and reflect on what has been achieved so far, ensuring the learning is being shared, communicated and – most importantly – embedded across the business before looking to what comes next. Just because the programme has finished doesn’t mean the learning stops. Continued support is crucial for those who have been involved. “We’ll sit down with each person individually and have a chat,” says Nicola. “I’m sure some of our colleagues will be hungry to know what’s next, but for many it will no doubt be a case of letting it all sink in and seeing how they can apply some of their learning to their day job. The “so what, now what” is the key here.” The immediate priority for Morgan Sindall is to evaluate the outputs and recommendations from each of the strategic projects and consider how these will add value and drive the business forward. This takes time and will no doubt require further investment. In parallel, Cranfield will work closely with Morgan Sindall to review the past 24 months, build on its success, understand new business priorities and look for the right learning opportunities to support. “We’ll reflect on the success of what we’ve achieved here and how that fits in with our other, internal programmes and see what we have room for next,” says Patrick.
