Designed to develop your knowledge and skills in finance and management or investment management in one year, you will then be ready to take on your first professional role, or progress your career to the next level. Our Finance and Management MSc and Investment Management MSc place emphasis on real-world challenges. Modules include a combination of case studies, participative exercises, interactive lectures, group projects and sessions hosted by industry speakers. Our master’s are distinctive in covering the principles, tools and techniques of finance, management and investment, as well as how to apply them in real work situations. You will gain an in-depth understanding of financial and management accounts, economics, international financial markets, statistical analysis, financial modelling and corporate financial management, and how to anaylse and understand up-to-the minute financial data using our Bloomberg Suite. Course structure Our specialist, sector-facing master's courses are set up and developed in close collaboration with industry partners, ensuring the content of our courses remain industry-relevant and employers remain impressed with your business-readiness. The diagram illustrates the course structure of both master's programmes. They combine ten compulsory and four elective modules. For your individual thesis, you will undertake research which enables you to apply the knowledge and skills that you have learnt during the course. This provides the opportunity to work in an original way.
Bloomberg Suite Cranfield School of Management has its own Bloomberg Suite. This investment banking database is used by banking and financial institutions worldwide to enable investment decisions.
You will receive training in how to use this database, and then be able to put your learning into practice by undertaking research, analysing data and applying modelling techniques to the data. You will be able to empirically test the knowledge, ideas and theoretical concepts you learn in the classroom using the database.

Dr Nemanja Radić, Senior Lecturer in Finance, Course Director, Finance and Management MSc and Investment Management MSc Nemanja's work focuses on modelling efficiency and competition in the financial services industry, shareholder value and risk management, and monetary policy. He is the author of a number of refereed journal articles in finance and economics. His work on the investment banking efficiency and shareholder value creation won the International Finance and Banking Society (IFABS) 2011 Best Young Researcher Award.Nemanja has also successfully attracted several research grants and presented his work at a number of highly rated international conferences. Dr Matthias Nnadi, Lecturer in Accounting, Deputy Course Director, Finance and Management MSc and Investment Management MSc Matthias’ academic background cuts across financial and management accounting, as well as corporate finance. His research interest focuses on accounting in emerging economies particularly questioning the relevance of international accounting standards in developing economies. His extended research interest explores the role of accounting in corporate mergers and acquisitions. Matthias is a member of several accounting and other professional bodies. His industry engagements include training of corporate organisations and government agencies in understanding, and in the application of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and budgetary management.
