What you will learn
The Inspirational Leader is a highly practical, interactive and immersive programme. Led by experts in the field of communication who create a safe and supportive environment, the programme is designed to foster growth through self-reflection and the practical application of impactful tools and techniques. You will: • Develop your unique, powerful and authentic communication style as a senior business leader. • Explore physical and vocal techniques to maximise presence, confidence and influence. • Understand the technical aspects of various communication settings, from large stage to media appearances. • Receive detailed analysis and feedback on your messaging and delivery. • Learn how to handle high pressure situations and how to deal with difficult questions or pushback. • Manage nerves and self-doubt.

Programme structure
Day one
Welcome evening: An immersive exercise allowing participants to connect as a cohort.
Day two
Challenge 1: Each participant will present a pitch, followed by detailed analysis and communication diagnostic from course leaders, and feedback from the group. Deconstruction of Communication – a deep dive into the psychological and physiological components of communication. Mastering Mindset – explore the obstacles and inhibitors that prevent us from communicating at our best, and how to develop a positive mindset.
Voice and Body: Practical exercises and techniques designed to maximise physical communication tools and successfully command the voice and body. Improvisation: A series of interactive, experiential exercises drawn from theatre, sport and psychology to encourage agile thinking and improve confidence. Challenge 2: Each participant will deliver unprepared content that offers an opportunity to embrace an entirely different communication context.

Day three
Leadership Elements: Analysis of self-selected leadership qualities.
Media Skills: Learn the technical elements of media appearances (camera, microphones, stagecraft) and techniques to effectively answer difficult questions and remain calm under pressure. Presentation Construction: A practical approach to creating powerful, engaging, persuasive presentations. Challenge 3: Participants will use their new knowledge to deliver a final presentation, followed by rigorous deconstruction analysis and personal developmental feedback.
Empathy : Understand the power of empathy as a communication tool to connect and inspire an audience. Storytelling : Harness the power of storytelling to create compelling, impactful and memorable content. Lessons from Politics: Techniques from the world of politics used to communicate complex messages, to a broad audience, in an authentic manner, with the aim of building connection and trust.
Post-programme
Closing Webinar: An opportunity to come together online to consolidate and build on learnings. Written Feedback: Detailed individual progress report and developmental agenda from course leaders, designed to promote ongoing personal growth.

Paul Jamieson Paul is a highly experienced leadership development facilitator and coach, whose insights and experience have emerged from over twenty years’ work in organisations and UK politics. He specialises in interactive and experiential learning and development, combining theatre techniques and psychological insight to help people learn in visual, powerful and inspiring ways. Paul has designed and led programmes on inspirational leadership, communicating with impact, diversity and inclusion, team building and media management around the world, and also provides personal coaching for individual clients. His speciality is developing confidence for high impact leadership performance, and his clients include senior leaders in blue chip organisations and the political arena. With an empathic, structured and challenging approach, Paul enables his clients to develop confidence and improve their impact across a range of settings. Jason Langley Jason leads workshops on communication skills, leadership, confidence, collaboration, creativity and workplace culture. He creates a supportive yet challenging environment where participants can test themselves and strive for excellence. Trained as an actor at the prestigious drama school LAMDA, Jason brings two decades of stage and screen experience to employ theatre techniques in a powerful and accessible way. He coaches business leaders from a wide range of sectors to speak with confidence, to express their ideas with clarity and impact, and to lead their teams with charisma and inspiration. Jason’s clients have included England Rugby Football Union, Amazon, Thames Water, Channel 4, UK Civil Service, Inner Temple, Citibank and Vauxhall Motors.
